Stellated Icosahedra As a class, we each made a unit of this collaborative modular origami project. Everyone wrote a commitment to contribute to a positive classroom learning environment, then we folded our units together, then we pieced them together to create the finished products.
If you're interested in modular origami, there are SO MANY projects you can find You Tube instructions for. We can work on some together or I can give you some origami paper if you would like. I have it all over my apartment =).

TessellationsFor Project 2 we created Tessellations using cardstock stencils that we built in class. The requirements: The final result had to follow the steps that were laid out in class , it had to be colored in or outlined using markers or colored pencils, it had to fill a whole page, it had to be a final draft, and it had to include some creative shapes (not just squares or triangles. The Project Guidelines and steps for creating tessellations are in the pdf document below. Featured artists: Chaniece, Emil, and Mustafa
For Project 1, each student created a border strip to help decorate the classroom.
